• Three and a half hours south of Paris, in a very small village, Ecoutron, close to the center of France, about 15 minutes from Montluçon is our old farmhouse. It has four bedrooms; a master bedroom, and three other bedrooms. There is a large eat-in kitchen, the living room with a working fireplace, two bathrooms, an attic, cellar, and a large attached barn. The house is suitable for 4 to 6 people. There is central heating, a dishwasher, washing machine, telephone, fax machine, and television.
• From the large garden and grounds (5.000 m² = 1.5 acres) there is a beautiful view over meadowlands. In front of the house are three large linden trees ("les Tilleuls") which give wonderful shade during the summer and keep the house cool.
• There are some beautiful medieval towns and sites in the area -- Hérisson and Boussac, the castle in Montluçon, the casino in Néris Les Bains, the resort and spa city Vichy, and the wine caves of Saint Pourça, where one can taste the wines and of course take some home.
• Within a 15-minute drive there is an eighteen-hole golf course surrounding an old castle and winding along the river Cher. The clubhouse is simple and friendly. The green fee is very reasonable.
• Another golf course is close to Montluçon and is beautifully hilly; it is advisable to rent a golf cart there.
  
• A place to swim is only 20 minutes away on a lake. On the river Cher is a canoe rental place.
  
• If you enjoy cycling, by all means bring your bike along.

In the evening you relax by candlelight under the linden trees or in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine from Saint Pourçain.
